We're Patrick & Megan, suburban parents from Virginia who had been using Lawnstarter.com since 2021. After having significant trouble getting our lawn care on time for several months, we noticed that Lawnstarter has been billing us for services we never received, double and triple billing, and even billed us a second time for the crew to come out and actually do a mow that we had finally complained about.

This is ridiculous.

Then we got to looking around at the experiences of others left in reviews and found that we aren't alone in being defrauded by Lawnstarter. It isn't just other families either--no, lawn crews are being ripped off as well. Taking advantage of lawn workers is particularly egregious.

We are furious that a company like Lawnstarter is ripping off people, families, and workers especially during this time of plague, inflation, and war. Life is hard enough without Lawnstarter stealing from customers and workers.

This has to stop.

We made this website in an effort to collect as much data as we can on the criminal practices of Lawnstarter.com so that we can take it to the government and the media to force the company to make good to the many people it has wronged through rent-seeking and criminal business practices.

Beyond that, we're collecting resources for the site to help you seek remedy for the wrongs Lawnstarter has done to you. We are working on taking them to small claims court and encourage you to do the same. Please note that we are not lawyers, are not your lawyers, and offer no one any form of legal advice.

Additionally, on the reporting page you can find links to various consumer watchdog agencies that you can report your experiences to--if enough of us to this, it may lead to real action.
